Our Associates

Travesky & Associates brings clients a wealth of experience, expertise and enthusiasm. Our associates possess extensive knowledge of public outreach/community relations methodologies, and project management. They work with clients in the private and public sector, as well as federal, state, and local officials, and media outlets.  Talent, training and teamwork are hallmarks of Travesky & Associate’s approach.  Our staff is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in strategic communications. 

Tara E. Wiedeman
Senior Associate & Project Manager

Ms. Wiedeman currently manages the strategic communications program for the implementation of the Base Realignment and Closure Act of 2005 (BRAC) projects at Fort Belvoir as an integral member of the Belvoir New Vision Planners team.  She has consulting experience in the development, management, and implementation of strategic communications programs.  As a Senior Associate and Project Manager, Ms. Wiedeman’s strengths include project management and facilitation skills, as well as her writing ability.  She manages extensive communications, including the development, production, and dissemination of outreach materials.  Ms. Wiedeman serves as a project representative during public meetings and other events.  She coordinates the logistics for outreach opportunities, including the preparation of advertising materials.  As a liaison between client project managers, other consultants, and citizens, Ms. Wiedeman effectively communicates technical language to the general public.

Ms. Wiedeman has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from James Madison University.  She is a member of the International Association for Public Participation and the Public Relations Society of America. 


Jane Barfield

Ms. Jane Barfield is a seasoned office manager currently working on Virginia Megaprojects Dulles Rail project.  She supports multiple mid-level, full-time personnel.  She is accountable for all incoming/outgoing correspondence.  Ms. Barfield quality controls documents to ensure completeness and accuracy. She tracks all outgoing correspondence and reports.  Ms. Barfield maintains several logs for the project.

Ms. Barfield controls all project documentation, files, logs and records relating to all aspects of the project.

Ms. Barfield has an Associate of Arts degree in Communications.


Toymeika Dingle
Senior Public Affairs Specialist

Ms. Dingle is currently assisting Travesky & Associates on multiple projects as a Public Affairs Specialist and has extensive experience in public outreach as it relates to major transportation projects. She participates in business development and serves as the liaison between project engineers, lead staff and the community. Ms. Dingle spent the last 3 years assisting the Virginia Megaprojects as the Public Affairs Manager for the I-95 Express Lanes.  In this position she communicated with the public about all aspects of the project.  She prepared senior level reports and educational materials, and facilitated meetings and briefings of elected officials, community members and media.  She managed an extensive comment database and responded to all public inquiries. She spearheaded the comment and response effort for the I-495 Capital Beltway HOT lanes design public hearing comment report. Additionally, she prepares and updates presentations for transportation projects. As a senior staff member for Travesky & Associates, Ms. Dingle has experience with development and implementation of transit demand management solutions, communications plans, event planning, copywriting, press releases, and website management.

Ms. Dingle has a Masters of Arts in Informatics and a Bachelors of Arts in Communications both from the University of Buffalo, both focused in Public Relations as well as Information Technology.  She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America. 


Diane T. Stromberg
Senior Associate & Project Manager

Ms. Stromberg has extensive experience in communication, public participation, facilitation, and training.  A skilled writer, she has composed newsletters and website content. She has contributed to the development of strategic communication plans, and the production of collateral materials such as fact sheets, brochures, display boards, and presentations.  Ms. Stromberg is experienced at conducting surveys and drafting summaries of survey results and public comments.

Ms. Stromberg participates in project management team meetings as a project liaison. She plans, facilitates, and provides materials for public meetings and training sessions.  Adept at research, Ms. Stromberg identifies key stakeholders and issues important to each project.

Ms. Stromberg received a Juris Doctor degree from the William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.


Liam Hennelly

Mr. Hennelly is currently working on I-66 Corridor Improvements Project for VDOT.  He is responsible for identifying key stakeholders and tracking current events likely to affect the firm’s projects.  He also assists the firm’s senior associates with developing community outreach programs and performs other key administrative duties for the firm.

Mr. Hennelly has had experience with Fairfax County Government interning with the Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.  While there, he worked on constituent services and county planning.  He also previously worked at a government relations firm in Washington D.C. focusing on federal regulatory and budget issues.

Mr. Hennelly has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Politics with a concentration in American Politics from George Mason University.
